I had recently purchased a replacememnt for my Sony Vaio Laptop, ON installing the new batterry and software which accompanied the new batterry, My laptop prompted for a reboot, Since closing down has not started up since,Nothing at all will start up. The laptop will not even goto POST, BIOS are corrupted, no access to BIOS.
Apparantly according to a local Sony Approved centre, the Main board needs to be replaced,
I await to see what this company is willing to do, as previously i had never incurred this problem on a laptop which is less than 2 years old.

Order paid and placed on the "Order date: 2010-11-03" did not yet receive the goods paid and ordered and returning to RSA within the next 2 days.
Then I will not be able to receive the goods and will not be at my hotel anymore. Will this be my loss?????? delivery address for next 2 days as indicated is. This was provided to me and is the only info I have. "You need to input order ID 210403363 and email address ABRAHAMP@za.ibm.com

Received battery which was faulty, wouldn't charge at all. No replacement available so had to return for refund. BEWARE the refund did not include the original post & packing AND I had to pay postage to send it back! A costly exercise as I'm without a battery and £7 out of pocket plus all the hassle of packing it and taking it to the post office.
